Subject: furniture

Andrea and I have some furniture that we don't have room for in our house. We'd like to sell it, perhaps on Craigslist, but thought we'd offer it to the community first. Here's what we have: TV/computer armoire that's solid wood, medium brown stain, with room for a medium-sized TV or computer monitor. It's in very good condition. sewing machine table also of solid wood, with a mahogany stained veneer. the top folds open and there is a space inside for an old-fashioned sewing machine. not sure what kind of machine will fit (our 1950s Singer didn't). the table is in pretty good shape; a few scratches and a couple inconspicuous spots where the veneer is coming apart. two bar chairs with backs; they have metal frames and wicker seats/backs, in good condition. wicker-style storage box with a mahogany stain, in fair shape... bought at Target. makes a great side table for a chair, and holds a lot of stuff like DVDs. old solid wood cabinet that may be an antique, looks like it was made in the 1930s or 40s, in fair condition. unique-looking piece with two doors and an open shelf. we used it for storing art supplies. would refinish nicely if you're into that sort of thing. If you're interested in any of these, call us or come by and check them out. They are on our front porch, which is covered to keep everything out of the sun and rain. I can e-mail pictures too.
