Our 40 year old son-in-law, Scott has been having irregular heart beats, dizziness and head numbness over the last weeks. He has been to the ER twice, had many tests and numerous doctor visits. So far they have not found the reason he is having these symptoms and are talking about further testing. He has a 7:30am cardiologist appointment tomorrow to plan what's next. Please pray for Scott, Jennie and their 3 boys as they deal with this drawn out process and for their finances because when Scott doesn't work he doesn't get paid. Scott's father and grandfather both died in their 40's which makes this even more scary. Tom and I will be driving to Phoenix this afternoon to try and lend a helping hand.

The good news is that the cardiologist is really taking Scotts symptoms seriously and has scheduled a heart cath for next Monday. He has also started on beta blockers. Other test results are still being collected and hopefully all the info will lead to the cause. In the meantime he's not driving due to the dizziness and Tom is driving him around and helping him do some jobs.

Scott came through his test without any problems and no blockages were found in his arteries. Hallelujah!! In 2 weeks he will see the cardiologist and plans will be made for the next step in diagnosis.
Thank you all for your concern and prayers and I'll keep you updated as things unfold.

Yesterday Scott had 2 doctor follow up appointments. The cardiologist has some concerns because the Muga test indicates some heart enlargement and only 40% heart function. At this point the cause is unknown and may simply be genetic since it was discovered his father had an enlarged heart when he died. The plan is for Scott to double his beta blockers since they are helping with the irregular heart beat, return to see the cardiologist in 3 weeks, and be referred to a specialist that deals with the electrical function of the heart.

The next appointment was with the ENT who thinks that based on Scott's symptoms of dizziness and head numbness he may have a pinched nerve in his neck and is sending him for physical therapy.

Please continue to pray that this gets sorted out. Right now there is a lot of frustration and confusion as to how this all fits together and what needs to happen next. Thank you for participating in this with us. We love you and wish you a blessed Thanksgiving day!

Today Jennie found out that both breast biopsy results are benign. Hallelujah!!! One lump is a fibroadenoma and completely harmless and the other is a papilloma which even though it is benign will be removed to prevent future problems.

Scott has begun physical therapy and with his new medication is feeling fairly well. Thanks for caring!
